fifties, sixties, seventies, and eighties. Television, cars, drive-ins, hoola-hoops, slinkies, and music come to
mind when thinking of those decades. (see post – Do You Remember When?) We lived through the Age of Innocence, the Camelot Years, the Years of Rebellion, the Hippie Years and the Viet Nam era while growing into mature adults. Some of us have no problem answering the question – “Where were you when you heard JFK had been assassinated?” Certain tragic or catastrophic events seem to stop time and sear the happenings of the moment into our mind. Howdy and Betty are baby boomers and will be posting about life – life in the past, life in the present, and life in the future. Posts from their perspectives hopefully will offer interesting, enlightening, or even persuasive information through stories, data, and articles. We hope to trigger feelings of any description that will lead you to comment and to share your thoughts with us.

Howdy, married thirty- three years with two daughters and a beautiful granddaughter, graduated from McKenzie College of Business. He served in the U.S. Air Force overseas and met his wife while serving in Thailand. He has a grasp on computer technology and is always available to answer any questions. Howdy is quite a gifted singer and uses his talents at his church and other functions. He has put together CD’s of his favorite religious and love songs.

Betty is married to a fantastic guy (32 years) and has four wonderful and accomplished daughters. Two of them are married and she is the proud (that might be an understatement) grandmother of twins. She graduated with a degree in Psychology from Purdue University many years ago.
Both Howdy and Betty have held a variety of jobs, positions, and titles throughout their lives. The sum of these experiences has landed them where they are now. They have never personally met, but have chatted online for many years, and in sharing so many stories with each other decided to jump on the bandwagon and create this blog. We think we have been blessed and life is terrific at any age….
P.S. Even though we target Baby Boomers, we welcome absolutely any age and any one to visit and share here.
Please take a moment to browse through the “informative, fun, and interesting” websites we have listed on our post called Websites We Like and Hope You Do Too and if you are job-searching we have a list of websites to help get you started on our post, Employment….Perhaps.

This blog will be a combination of facts, fun and just everyday life in General! Betty is originally from Indiana and Howdy is from Chattanooga, Tennessee. We have been net friends for several years, and, although our views may be different at times, it is our aim for you to find it very interesting!
We are baby boomers and have discovered that it can be fun with the grandkids and all, yet still, there are events in life that are not such fun but still have to be dealt with daily.
